17 July 08 - Hello my fellow Aikidoka! It is another beautiful day on the Cape Fear, nice on-shore breeze from the Atlantic, not too hot.... a good day to be on the beach. UNFORTUNATELY.... a powerful need for a pay-check gets in the way.... you know what I'm sayin - can I get an A-MEN!!!

If you find yourself in the Wilmington, NC area on Tuesdays or Thursdays, please feel free to drop by the dojo... we would love to have you. 14 July 08 - Managed to do a few minor updates..... check out the "Even More Stuff Page". We are still looking for your BEST AIK-LOVE pix! So... please send them... we should have a monthly contest..... prize TBD. Let me think on this one for a moment.... Also... it looks as tho we have more Kids on the mat..... Love the little guys and wish we had more.... when I get parental permission I will post a few photos for the web site... 9 July 08 - Well.... it has been a minute since I have last updated the site. My duties as a Graphics Thug have kept me very busy... After 8 or so weeks of pounding out the artwork has taken its toll on my ability to update the site.... but luckily... the threat of Film Union Strikes / Studio Lock-out of SAG members has given me a much needed "Operational Pause"... stay tuned for new updates in the next few days..... I have been giving considerable thought to more kick-ass t-shirt designs, and when I have them about ready, I will post them to see if anyone would be interested in buying one.... 13 May 08 (old news) -  It is summer break, there will be no regular Wednesday class at UNCW Aikido Club until the fall...HOWEVER - Most Saturdays, unless otherwise specified, there will be classes from 12p-4p. This is agood opportunity for all UNCW Students and Authorized Instructors to get some much needed EXTRA WORKOUT time, especially for weapons work. DAN testing will be coming up faster than you think, so everyone on notice... GET TO IT! So, I have been going through the photography that was taken by Fred Norris, Set Photographer Extrodinere... I have put a video montage of the stills up on the Pics/Vids page.... it is a Flash Video, so you will need FLASH to see it.... I still have the final 3rd of the Stills to upload.... so that will be happening soon.. The Hi-Def Video and Standard Wide-Screen Video is being edited.... because there is so much of it I had to order and set up a 1 Terabyte Drive JUST for the Uncompressed Video.... besides the SHEAR VOLUME of data, I am on a crash course to learn Final Cut Pro... so I can properly cut something together.... all the video is FAN-FREEKING-TASTIC!!!! It will take a while to cut it into something usable.... More on this will come soon....

OK, all you Police Types! K.B.A. has the Aikido For Law Enforcement Updates off the BACK BURNER and into full bore production... new stuff will be posted as it is edited and made ready for web-delivery... We will notify all LET Members when an update has been posted..... -BK Aikido for Law Enforcement Tactical Training has had a "face-lift". All the updated pages have been posted. New content is in production and will be postd as soon as it is shot, edited and made ready for the web. There are a few issues being resolved, such as a broken link here and there... but they are being addressed. For all of those Law Enforcement Officers and Staff that have access or would like to request access to the K.B.A. Law Enforcement Tactical Training Area... Click Here. |
